Maria Carvalho trabalha com texto e ilustração, com formação em Design pela Universidade Federal de Pernambuco. Tem interesse por histórias que transitam entre o mundano fantástico e o estranho da vida real. Quando não está desenhando, Maria tenta ouvir as fofocas dos passarinhos da vizinhança.

Maria Carvalho is an author-illustrator from north-east Brazil, with a BA in Design from the Federal University of Pernambuco. Maria's favourite stories are those that build a bridge between the mundane and the fantastical. When not doodling, Maria enjoys catching up on the neighbourhood birds' gossip.
